About

Hi, I'm Elena.

I'm a fine artist and art educator from Seville, Spain — now living in Los Angeles. I run mobile art experiences across LA: kids birthday parties, paint and sip nights, mommy and me classes, private lessons. I also still take commissioned work, especially pet portraits.

The story

I grew up in Seville, in a family where painting was just something people did. I went to the University of Seville and earned a Bachelor's in Fine Arts, then stayed for a Master's in Art Education. My thesis work focused on how kids develop artistic skill through structured exploration — the actual science of teaching art to children, not just keeping them busy with crayons.

After moving to Los Angeles, I started taking commissioned work — mostly pet portraits, some human portraits — and that grew naturally into teaching. Friends asked if I'd teach their kids. Then their kids asked if I could come do their birthday party. Then their friends called.

I noticed something quickly: most “mobile art party” hosts in LA are nice, well-meaning people without art training. Most art teachers in LA are stuck inside school systems or studios with strict curricula. There wasn't anyone bringing real fine arts instruction to people's living rooms — taught with calm energy, designed around how kids actually learn, and run with the polish of a well-produced event.

So that's what I built.

My approach

Calm energy, focused creativity

Most kids' parties are loud chaos. My sessions are not. I draw on Montessori principles — small groups, age-appropriate materials, real respect for the kid's process. Twelve kids can absolutely focus on a project for 45 minutes if you give them the right environment.

Real teaching, not crafts

Painting a pre-printed canvas isn't art. Mixing colors, learning composition, and making something genuinely your own — that's art. Even with a 5-year-old, even at a birthday party, I teach.

Bilingual

I teach in English or Spanish, depending on the family. Both languages are native to me.

Full-service

I bring everything. I set up. I teach. I clean up. You get the photos, the kids get the experience, and your house looks the way it did when I arrived.

My own work

When I'm not teaching, I'm painting.

I take a small number of commissioned pieces each year — mostly pet portraits, some human portraits, occasional larger custom work. My style draws on the Spanish realist tradition I trained in, with influences from contemporary portraiture.
