What kids will make

We pick one or two of these per party:

Painted Fairy House

Wooden fairy-house cutouts kids paint and decorate with tiny details (windows, doors, vines). Take-home garden decoration that actually goes outside.

Mushroom Mini-Landscapes

Tiny painted mushroom scenes on canvas. Whimsical, simple shapes that work for younger kids.

Fairy Garden Mural

A collaborative larger painting all the kids contribute to. Lives in the birthday kid's room afterward.

Pressed-Flower Art

Mixed-media: real pressed flowers + watercolor + simple framing. Toddler-friendly version of “real” art.

Painted Stones

River stones painted as fairy garden details (mushrooms, bugs, tiny doorways). Take-home set for the birthday kid's actual garden.

Why this theme works

  • It's atmospheric. Most kid party themes are loud and busy. This one is calm, dreamy, and visually beautiful. Photos look like they belong in a children's book.
  • The aesthetic is sophisticated.Fairy gardens have grown up — they're an actual decor trend, not just a kid trend. Parents like the finished pieces enough to keep them.
  • Hands-on but forgiving.Kids paint small, manageable subjects with no pressure to be precise. Mistakes look intentional in this style.
  • Great backyard match. This theme genuinely benefits from being outdoors — gardens, plants, and natural light all reinforce the theme.

Frequently asked questions

Will the fairy houses survive being outdoors?
We use weather-resistant wood and outdoor-friendly paint sealants. Houses will last a season or two outdoors, longer if kept on a covered porch. They're meant to be loved and used, not framed in a museum.
Can we do this in winter / indoors?
Yes — the theme works year-round. Outdoors is more atmospheric, but a sunny living room or covered patio works fine.
What if my kid prefers a different fantasy theme (mermaids, unicorns)?
We have separate themes for those — see Under the Sea (mermaids) and Rainbow Paint Party (rainbow/unicorn). Or we can blend, but a focused theme tends to land better.
Are the materials non-toxic?
Yes — all paints and supplies are non-toxic. Kids will end up with paint on their hands; that's part of the fun.
Is this part of standard pricing?
Yes — Fairy Garden Makers is available in all three tiers (Mini Artist / Little Studio / Masterpiece Party).
