What kids will make

We pick one or two of these projects per party:

Watercolor Animal Portrait

Kids pick their favorite animal (fox, owl, deer, raccoon, hedgehog) and paint a watercolor portrait. We bring reference photos for kids who don't have a specific animal in mind.

Leaf and Nature Prints

Real leaves, flowers, and natural materials pressed into paint and printed onto paper. Beautiful, simple, and forgiving.

Tree-of-Life Painting

A whimsical tree silhouette with watercolor branches and leaves. Easy for younger kids, customizable for older ones.

Insect Studies

Small, detailed paintings of butterflies, dragonflies, and bees. For kids who love bugs and detail work.

Nature Collage

Mixed-media: paint + real natural materials (twigs, leaves, pressed flowers) + paper. 3D, textured.

Why this theme works

  • Calm and focused.Unlike higher-energy themes (rainbow, dinosaur), nature parties have a quieter, more contemplative energy. Great for kids who need that.
  • Watercolor is forgiving. One of our preferred themes for younger or less confident painters — watercolor mistakes blend together beautifully.
  • Outdoor-friendly.This theme genuinely benefits from being outside. Real leaves, real light, real plant life as inspiration. Perfect for backyard or park parties.
  • It connects to real interests.Kids who love animals get to paint something they care about. The finished piece feels meaningful.

Frequently asked questions

Can my kid pick a specific animal?
Yes. We bring reference photos for the most-requested animals (fox, owl, deer, raccoon, hedgehog, butterfly, sea turtle). If your kid has a specific animal in mind, just send us a reference image when you book.
Is this similar to Pet Pals?
Different themes. Pet Pals (ages 7+) is specifically about painting your own (or a chosen) pet from a photo, with portrait technique. Nature & Animals is broader and more accessible — painting wildlife and natural subjects, not specific household pets.
Can we host this in a park?
Yes — this is one of our best park themes. The natural surroundings reinforce the theme and we collect real materials (leaves, flowers) on site.
Is the watercolor paper really nice quality?
Yes — we use real cold-press watercolor paper. The take-home pieces are frame-worthy.
Is this part of standard pricing?
Yes — Nature & Animals is available in all three tiers (Mini Artist / Little Studio / Masterpiece Party).
